On November 8, AHF’s affinity group BLACC joined forces with Brotherhood Crusade and the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation to provide Thanksgiving meals and essentials to 750 families impacted by the Eaton Fire. 🧡🦃

Moments like this remind us that real recovery doesn’t happen alone — it happens when organizations, neighbors, and partners come together with one mission: to uplift the families who need it most.

Today, we celebrate the birthday of Morris Kight, an organizer, activist, and co-founder of the Gay Liberation Front in Los Angeles. A force in the fight for LGBTQ+ liberation, he spent decades pushing for justice, visibility, and better care for the community.

For Morris, the fight was never over. He spent his final birthday in 2002 as a witness before the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors, testifying for better HIV/AIDS services. As a founding board member here at AHF, his legacy of advocacy, activism, and fearlessness continue to guide our mission today.

Throwback to 🏳️‍🌈 DC Pride, where AHF showed up with one clear message: HIV is not a crime.

Pride is about joy, but it’s also about justice. LGBTQIA+ communities still face stigma, and in many places, there are still laws on the books that criminalize people living with HIV, despite the science proving undetectable = untransmittable.

Q***r joy is resistance, and advocacy is care. Together, they move us toward a future rooted in justice, dignity, and human rights.
