We spoke to a couple of Beauty industry professionals who have lost homes, access to their homes or salons or barbershops 💈. They requested black hair care products. We have a couple of drop off spots, one in Gardena
, or go to to find out where and what to donate. Gift cards, new products…. We are stronger together.

For 5 years the Expo quickly became the leading and largest natural hair Expo in Los Angeles, Seattle, Las Vegas, San Diego, Bay Area with regular attendees from all areas.
The westcoast natural movement began and has not looked back, with Nappywood in the backyard of Hollywood, home t0 some of the most creative stylists, designers and educators in the USA. Kim Kimble, Felicia Leatherwood, Shirlena Allen, Patrice Simmons , Kelsie Lynn are a few of the leading professionals who frequent Nappywood.
This year Nappywood is introduced WAVES & CURLS™ Beach party; a free family event that celebrated natural health & wellness on Saturday, August 18th 2018 at Crescent Bay Park, at the historic Inkwell Beach in Santa Monica, California.
The event will kick off with a community TaiChi, Yoga Class and Soundbath followed by Volleyball, DIY Massage workshop and full massages were available, board games, Sand building and more. Fresh entertainment and closed out with a redcardpet fashion show on the sand just before sunset. Everyone was invited to bring your own canopy, towel, water guns and picnic basket. Waves and Curls was a fun filled beach day

Award winning film @MyNappyROOTS sparked the International Black Hairitage Film Festival and workshops in London October 2011 and later evolved into Nappywood birth in the urban Mecca of Los Angeles, Leimert Park. The NEXT Los Angeles Natural Lifestyle Expo will be held in Fall 2019.
