She is loud, boisterous and I have missed her.

I counted the days we’d been apart.

It had been 589 days since I last saw my mother-in-law and boy was that first hug special.

We had been doing the virtual thing every week, like everyone else we have tried our best to stay ‘connected’. But last night we sat and chatted for 4 hours and it truly felt as if we had not spoken for every one of those 589 days.

There is something visceral & powerful in that face to face connection that technology has yet captured. We talked in unexpected ways about unplanned things, which caught me completely off guard, but this morning I realized how much healing we all needed to do.
Like the build up of dust that settles on unused furniture in an unvisited room..a layer of our souls needs to be peeled back.

In light of everything that has transpired, I'm grateful for the opportunity to find normal again.

I encourage you to find a loved one who is willing to help you cleanse, if you haven't already.

I was reminded of quote by one of my favorite authors:

Summer may not officially be here but here are some tips for the warmer weather & sunshine

LET IT BREATHE:
In cooler months we use heavier skincare. Switching to lighter formulations is better in the warmer months. Transfer key applications such as foundations to lightweight alternatives. Firstly it will be more comfortable & your skin will love you for it.

LESS IS MORE:
Natural looks will serve you better. Lighten up on your makeup, reduce the layers & the overall mass & you will see your skin health improve.

SCRUBBING:
Summer brings sweat & greasiness, which attract pollutants, dirt & layers of oils to your skin. Depending on the level of activity you may want to commit to exfoliating twice a day. Stick with products formulated using natural ingredients which exclude parabens.

HYDRATE:
