Today is Sunday, November 19th, 2017
Thanksgiving is on Thursday this year.
Thankfulness is an interesting concept;
if things are going good-most people are thankful, and possibly a bit relieved.
If things are going badly, many lay in the dressing of misery, pour the gravy of depression over themselves, then eat it all.
I have a suggestion; be grateful for
the big and small things in your life.
Are you living indoors? Be grateful.
Are you planning to eat on Thanksgiving?
Be grateful.
Do you have clothing on? Grateful
Any money at your disposal ? Thankful
Do any humans or animals care for you? Thankful
Does your brain work? Grateful
Shoes that you can wear on your feet: Thankful
A mode of transportation: Thankful
Gas, electricity, or legs powering your vehicle - Thankful.
Breathing air? Thankful
See what I mean?
If you have a higher level of “stuff”, good for you - remember to be grateful for that. Be thankful for your health, your consciousness, the ability to help others, a working heart and the ability to be empathetic.
Thanksgiving doesn’t have to be a commercial activity, punctuated by feverish hunting for a parking space
and blood-sport, combat shopping against strangers for things that you can acquire anytime.
Thanksgiving should be a time to reflect on the aspects of your life that you are grateful for and eat something in the company of friends and/or family...and tofurky is good smothered
w/some mushroom gravy.
Peace and Blessings
