Holiday stress can take a real toll — especially for people living with neurological conditions.

From schedule changes to travel, overstimulation, and added responsibilities, the holiday season can intensify symptoms such as headaches, neuropathic pain, fatigue, cognitive overload, mood changes, and sleep disruptions.

The good news? Practicing mindfulness can help calm the nervous system and create pockets of peace during a busy season.

Here are a few simple strategies:

🧘 One-Minute Breathing Reset:
Pause, inhale for 4 seconds, exhale for 6. Repeat 5 times.

🎄 Ground Yourself in Your Senses:
Notice 3 things you see, 2 things you hear, and 1 thing you can touch. This interrupts stress spirals.

📅 Protect Your Energy:
Build in buffer time between events. Your brain and body need recovery just like anyone else.

✨ Set Realistic Boundaries:
