🌍 Happy International Day of the Midwife!!! 🩺👶🏽❤️

Today and every May 5th, we honor the dedicated midwives who provide compassionate, skilled, and respectful care to women, birthing folkx, babies, and families worldwide before, during, and after birth!

Midwives are essential to healthy pregnancies, safe births, and strong communities. This year we are amplifying the global movement One Million More Midwives, which calls for an additional one million midwives worldwide to meet the full range of sexual, reproductive, maternal, newborn, and adolescent health needs of women and gender-diverse people.

Investing in midwifery education, support, and leadership isn't just vital for maternal and newborn health, it's one of the most impactful ways to save lives and build healthier societies!

In honor of this day, we’re incredibly proud to be featured in the powerful documentary Deliver Us. The film follows visionary Black midwives confronting the maternal health crisis and creating community-centered models of care.

Though this screening is sold out, we still invite you to join the waitlist by commenting “Deliver Us” below and follow for updates on future screenings and film festival showings!! 👀

For the new folks, hey!! We are a Black women owned birthing center, with locations in Los Angeles and Antelope Valley .av. We offer in-person care and a mix of virtual and in-person classes and community gatherings to support accessibility, flexibility, and comfort for every family we serve.

If you’ve been thinking about midwifery care or a birth center experience, whether for pregnancy, birth, or postpartum, we’d love to welcome you to tour the space. Tours are led by Co-Owner & Midwife, Allegra, LM.

We are soooo looking forward to learning with you and Co-founder + Midwife, Kimberly Durdin, LM.

We meet this Sunday, April 26th! Our Prenatal Breastfeeding Class is a wonderful opportunity to gain valuable knowledge from a former IBCLC with over 20 years of experience. She's a true expert in the field and ready to share it with you! This is a focused time to learn, ask questions, and feel confident in those early days.

We're walking tomorrow!!! Are you coming? 🤓🏃🏽‍♀️

Fridays are for our mile (or half-mile) walk along the new Crenshaw Corridor Path, just steps from Kindred Space LA. A perfect way to move your body and hang with community.

📣This paved path works well for pregnant and postpartum folks, strollers, babywearing, and kids riding scooters or bikes.
📣All bodies and all community members are welcome!
📣FREE
📣Comment ‘MOVE’ if you want to join us outside!

We’ll gather at KSLA at 10am, head out together at 10:30, then come back to hang and chill afterward! Our Walk Club is lead by KSLA Co-Owner + Midwife Allegra & Doula, Courtney B. !

And as always, special shout out to for their efforts to provide South LAs newest recreational walking path through our city!
