WHAT'S A "WORKAROUND" ?
"Too often, our members tell us their doctor advised them to 'do nothing' for weeks or even months after an injury, surgery, or flare-up. But here’s the truth: as we age, something is always going on. And doing nothing? That’s often the worst thing you can do.
"A 'workaround' means finding safe, appropriate ways to keep moving despite limitations. Whether it’s a sore knee, shoulder issue, or recovery from a procedure, there’s almost always a form of movement that can help more than it hurts.
"Doctors are busy. It’s easier and safer for them to say 'rest.' But rest shouldn’t mean total inactivity. If your doctor tells you not to exercise, it’s okay to ask why — and whether there’s a safer, modified alternative. Because in most cases, there is.
At Q4 Active, we specialize in helping people move smarter, not harder. The key is to keep going — with guidance, safety, and the right workarounds. Let’s keep moving — for life."
