This is one of the toughest conundrums of early motherhood. Especially when you have more than one little needing your constant attention. 🥹
Everyone tells you it’s just a phase, but when you’re in it, it is too all-encompassing to feel that way.
My anxiety would be so bad sometimes I wouldn’t even know who I was or have any idea how to improve the situation I was in. And sometimes you don’t get that break for hours, days, or weeks.
What worked for me? Go even slower. It seems counterintuitive. The fight or flight your body is feeling needs to run its course, but that doesn’t mean you need to run with it. When we literally slow down our bodies (think sloth-like), our minds have to follow suit.
