a little story… I taught gay men’s naked yoga for one year during the pandemic. I started with couple times a week and grew to five days a week, and then started a Facebook group and got 600 guys in there!

Along the way, I met a couple of amazing yoga instructors who inspired me, one of them was this guy right here Forest Kruger (I could feel his authenticity from my living room in San Francisco). Now, four years later, I finally met him in person. Apparently he has opened his own studio right in the heart of the Melrose district 🌈 here in Phoenix.

I’m honored to be teaching here tomorrow night, but I’m even more honored to be a part of this community and be learning from him now, because I certainly need to be “upping” my yoga game. Anyway, you can see from our smiles that brotherhood in yoga is a real thing.

Q***r Men's Yoga offers premier yoga classes to an international community of GBTQ+ men who join the practice from the comfort of their own home. More than demonstrating and leading practices, I would like to inspire, instruct, and connect with where you are at in your practice. The yoga offered here is in various styles and levels, striving for the hallmarks of quality, authenticity, and compassion.

About Peter:

As a yogi devoted to the art and science of embodiment, I generally teach slower, rhythmic flows that both challenge students and offer them an opportunity to enter a space of meditation and inquiry.

… but how did I get here?

I grew up in Mexico City and Nashville, Tennessee, where I developed a love for music and sports, but it wasn’t until I was 19 that I began my spiritual journey. I moved to a small ashram in the Los Angeles area, where for 8 years I devoted myself to personal growth, and I learned various forms of yoga (name them here? What kind of "study"?). After these formative years, I moved to the San Francisco Bay Area, where for several years I studied yoga with Pete Guinosso (200 RYT in Forrest Yoga) and Jason Crandell, anatomy of movement and dance with Anna Halprin, and somatic therapy with Steve Hoskinson (Organic Intelligence). I also spent 5 years training in Tantrik yoga and meditation with various notable teachers, including Christopher Wallis and Reggie Ray. I have taught yoga in studios, retreats, festivals in the Oakland/Berkeley, San Francisco, and Los Angeles areas for the last 7 years.

Q***r men need opportunities to reclaim our (ancient) connection to sacred experience, embodiment, and gender-fluidity . Men of all ages, body types, backgrounds, and ethnicities come to practice with us and make new friends. All are welcome in this intergenerational, international community! Please join us in my classes, safe, fun, and non-judgmental spaces where q***r men from around the world meet to activate their personal power and health.
