The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) indicates that patient falls are a preventable event that should not occur but are a continuous challenge for most hospitals. Falls are the most common adverse event in a hospital resulting in injury and event death. Preventing patient falls is a complex issue that requires stringent practices to minimize the risk. Southern California hospital has implented stringent protocols to prevent falls.

Southern California Hospital at Hollywood staff donated supplies and attended a day of volunteering to support the fire releive efforts. The donations and time supported the Assistance League of Los Angels.

The volunteers helped create school supply kits, made no-sew blankets, decorated canvas bags, and organized donations coming in for wildfire relief. This aide goes went to serve the community and kids that affected by the wildfires and also those who are regularly faced with the hardships of foster care and homelessness. Hollywood -Hollywood
