☀️ How You Start Your Day Matters More Than You Think
Your morning routine can set the tone for focus, energy, and clarity—or leave you feeling behind before the day even begins. Here’s a look at my personal ideal morning routine—simple, intentional, and rooted in functional wellness:
⏰ Wake up naturally, without a jarring alarm when possible
📵 Avoid screens for at least 20 minutes to protect early-morning neurotransmitter function and reduce stress
💧 Hydrate first thing: 12–20 oz room-temperature water + 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice + a pinch of Himalayan sea salt
🤸 Light movement while the espresso brews—think foam rolling, wall squats, or stretching
🌞 Get outside for 10–15 minutes of sunlight and grounding—even on cloudy days, this helps reset your circadian rhythm
🌬️ Use outdoor time for breathwork, gratitude, or simply being present—sometimes my kids join me, which is even better
☕ Optional boost: Add collagen or MCT oil to your coffee for brain and body support
It’s not about perfection—it’s about consistency and ownership of your day from the start.
Build habits that work with your biology, not against it. Your body (and brain) will thank you.
