She attended Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey and completed her internship and residency with Kaiser Foundation Hospital in Los Angeles, California in 1985. While Dr. Katz started with a medical group, by 1987 she opened her own practice as a solo practitioner, here in West Hills and established herself within the community as an outstanding physician. idualized care to each patient, including daughters of her original patients. She is board certified and one of the top gynecologic surgeons in the West San Fernando Valley, as well as one of the most well known Obstetricians; still delivering babies after many of her colleagues have chosen to no longer work in the obstetrical field. Dr. Katz specializes in advanced Minimally Invasive Laparoscopic Surgery,Laparoscopic Supracervical Hysterectomy (LSH), Laparoscopic Vaginal Hysterectomy (LAVH), as well as traditional Total Abdominal Hysterectomy (TAH) and Abdominal Myomectomy. She works out of West Hills Hospital which is directly next door to our office building. She also performs outpatient surgical procedures at West Hills Surgical Center, directly across from our office, in the same parking lot. There she performs such procedures as Hysteroscopy, Bilateral Tubal Ligation, Leep surgery for the treatment of abnormal pap smears and much more. Dr. Katz delivers her obstetric patients at West Hills Hospital. Sterilization during cesarean section is another of Dr. Katz many procedures performed. During her years of practice, Dr. Katz has delivered multiple sets of twins as well as triplets. She works in advanced obstetrics, providing unsurpassable high risk ob care, working closely with Comprehensive Maternal and Fetal Medicine physicians to provide high level 3D/4D ultrasound. And all while continuing to maintain a regular office schedule where she provides routine well woman exams, STD screening, Colposcopy, consultations regarding infertility, male factorinfertility, PCOS, hormone imbalance and everything in between. Dr. Katz is married with 3 dogs, two cats, and her many horses. An animal lover, she has a kind heart, warm bedside manner, and an incredible ability to treat each of her patients as though they are each a member of her own family. She lives close to West Hills Hospital and remains available to her patient’s for their immediate needs.
