🙏 On this Good Friday, Los Angeles Christian Health Centers joins the LA Mission’s Community Easter Dinner, where we honor the tradition of foot washing. We wash feet not only as an act of faith, following Jesus’ example of humility and love, but also to bring comfort and health benefits to our brothers and sisters living on the streets.

This simple act reminds us of our call to serve with compassion and care. May we continue to walk in kindness and humility, reaching out to those most in need.

Last week I met a woman in the waiting area at Joshua with a painful, likely broken leg, her dirty splint telling a story of hardship. It was a victory for her to be there in the waiting room seeking follow-up care. I greeted her warmly and quietly said a prayer for her healing and restoration. She waited to be called.

Later I listened in while the provider and nurse discussed options to care for the injured woman. They creatively explored solutions, demonstrating that true care recognizes the humanity in every patient, especially those in need.

It true, healthcare's heart beats strongest where empathy and ingenuity thrive. Real care flourishes through genuine connections and creative solutions.
