DON'T FORGET! With the heat wave on the way, you CANNOT leave your pets unattended in the car. Cracking the windows does not help the situation. Within a short amount of time, the inside of your vehicle will heat to a level that becomes dangerous and even deadly.

Thank you Dr. Adams and everyone at Shelter Veterinary Hospital for taking care of our senior doggos, Gimbo, Leo and Bean!

Gimbo's gall bladder stones are gone, and he is almost done with his treatment for that, great news! Leo has a heart murmur and got started on medication. His allergies also had flared up so he got a shot. Bean's seasonal cough had returned, so he got a cough suppressant.

Everyone is doing very well the next day! Always a great experience with Dr. Adams and crew. Previously located on Wilshire in Santa Monica, they recently moved to this location, on the same property as the West Los Angeles Animal Shelter.

This Easter season, we want to remind cat owners to keep lilies out of their homes. All parts—petals, leaves, stem and pollen—of the Easter lily plant are poisonous and can cause kidney failure in cats within 72 hours. Tiger, day, rubrum, stargazer, and Japanese show lilies are also toxic to cats. Other Easter hazards include plastic "grass," chocolate, coins and plastic Easter eggs.
