Increase your proprioceptive touch and expand your capacity for energy flow in Myofascial Release. Students will be introduced to some powerful inner-oral Craniosacral techniques in the MFR style. Group postural analysis will be included, as well as all four transverse plane releases, and a deeper awareness of using oscillations as a diagnostic tool. This class will help students develop a more sensitive touch and improve their ability “read” the client with their hands, strengthening their confidence and pulling it all together for a successful practice!

It is with a heavy heart, that we share the news that one of our alumni and past instructors, Mary Frances Spencer passed away yesterday, 1/26/26.

Mary Frances graduated from Hands on Healing Institute in 2004 and shared her skills with students for many years providing the dynamic Sound & Vibrational Therapy class that I liked so much, I took it twice and still use the skills she taught us!

You will be missed, my friend.

Y'all, we're carrying a lot in our shoulders these days. This modern life has us slouched over screens and bearing weight in weird ways. In this Focus on Fascia class, you will learn ways to help yourself and your clients unwind this fraught territory of the body.

Students will learn to use range of motion diagnosis for rotator cuff injuries and frozen shoulder, and learn myofascial release techniques to free the tissues from these restrictions. Students will also learn to release restricted fascia to reduce the common forward shoulder rotation.

Prerequisites: Focus on Fascia I or JFB MFR1
Prerequisite for: FOF Carpal Tunnel & FOF Breast Care

Ok, but do y'all know how cool FASCIA is? It knits our whole body together in a connective web of piezoelectric tissue! ⚡️ Working with fascia unlocks the healing potential of the body in totally new ways. Dive into the world of Myofascial Release with our introductory course: FOF I - Full Body Techniques.

Students will learn three “staples” of MFR: arm pulls, leg pulls, and cross-handed techniques; as well as basic approaches for the hips, shoulders, and cervical areas. You will also receive training in proper body mechanics to learn how to hold MFR techniques without over-stressing your own body.

This course is the pre-requisite for all other Focus on Fascia classes. So start the year off right and spend the weekend with us Jan 16 - 18.
