Located three and a half miles from the beach in the heart of West Los Angeles, The Canyon at Santa Monica provides an exquisite healing oasis for individuals seeking recovery in an outpatient setting. We engage the whole person in the healing process and extend an invitation for each client’s loved ones to be involved in treatment to build a solid foundation for lasting recovery. An expert team of caring professionals provides support, structure and hope for recovery from co-occurring addiction and mental health disorders. Every patient receives an individually tailored program to meet his or her unique needs through group and individual therapy, life skills classes and an integration of 12-Step principles. In addition, our holistic services staff works to improve each patient’s physical, mental and spiritual well-being. This multidisciplinary team meets weekly to monitor the individual’s progress and determine the next therapeutic phase. Specific, measurable goals and objectives must be achieved by each patient prior to discharge. The Canyon at Santa Monica is proud to be a member of Foundations Recovery Network. We are unable to provide medical advice through social media. Please contact your physician, or in case of emergency, call 911 or the National Su***de Prevention Lifeline at 988. On National First Responders Day, we honor the incredible sacrifices of our emergency personnel. But their heroism comes at a cost that is often unseen. Day after day, they face trauma, stress, and loss, which can lead to serious mental health challenges and substance abuse. This , let's thank our heroes by supporting their well-being. It's okay to not be okay—and it's vital to break the stigma surrounding mental health and addiction.

October is ADHD Awareness Month.

Did you know that individuals with ADHD are at a significantly higher risk of developing substance use disorders? ADHD isn’t just about distraction or hyperactivity—it’s a complex neurodevelopmental condition that can impact emotional regulation, impulse control, and decision-making. These challenges can sometimes lead individuals to self-medicate with drugs or alcohol in an attempt to manage symptoms like restlessness, anxiety, or low self-esteem.
