Fredrick Edo, Psy.D. & The Interactive World of Emotions I invite the patient to talk about true and honest feelings. The work offers a safe space to help you make sense of whatever it is you are struggling with.

I am a Psychoanalyst, a Story Creator, a Polyphony, and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California, Texas, Colorado and Florida working with the general population based in Beverly Hills, California. The act of honesty relinquishes defenses and brings about what I consider to be the ultimate goal of therapy; to reveal what is not conscious and working through it while offering my genuine support for your journey of growth. People usually seek psychotherapy or psychoanalysis to increase their sense of well being and help them reach their full potential. Sometimes it is difficult to know what it is that needs to change in your life and other times you may know exactly what is wrong, yet you can’t seem to change it or don’t know how. Throughout our lives we face many changes. There may be a crisis or a dilemma, perhaps there is a traumatic event, a major transition, or a huge loss or a death in our lives. These situations can cause fear, insecurity, grief, chaos, anger, sadness and confusion and may create symptoms. It is also possible that nothing has changed externally, yet you feel something inside you has shifted and you can’t figure out why. The goal of therapy is that the new awareness will specifically address those aspects that may be causing you distress, impeding progress toward your life goals, or getting in the way of your ability to find fulfillment in love and work.

Life feels like a river—sometimes calm, sometimes roaring. I’ve learned that cultivating coping strategies is less about fixing everything and more about gathering gentle tools that steady the spirit. For me, that looks like five minutes of mindful breathing, a walk in the trees, honest journaling, creative expression, and the courage to set boundaries. Each small practice becomes a thread in the tapestry of resilience.

If you’re navigating a hard season, try one tiny ritual today: pause, breathe, name one feeling, then choose one compassionate action. Over time those small acts fold into lasting strength. Read more about this journey and practical steps on the blog — link below. 🌿✨

What’s one small practice that steadies you? I’d love to hear.

Therapy can feel like finding a quiet harbor after a long journey — a place to rest, gain clarity, and chart a new course. I bring professional training and focused therapeutic methods to every session, grounding compassionate presence in techniques that help produce measurable progress. I help children and teens find steadiness when life feels stormy—quietly, thoughtfully, and with clinical care rooted in experience. Common signs a young person may need support include sudden changes in mood or sleep, school avoidance or falling grades, intense anxiety or panic, persistent sadness or withdrawal, frequent meltdowns, and struggles with identity or self-harm thoughts. I draw on trauma-informed therapy, play-based approaches, family systems work, and adolescent emotion regulation skills so each child’s path is both safe and tailored. Sessions are available in Beverly Hills at 9730 Wilshire Blvd. Suite 216, Beverly Hills, CA 90212; I offer flexible scheduling, telehealth options, and a calm intake process to help families feel comfortable from the first call. If you’re wondering whether therapy could help your child, I’m here to listen and guide you—reach out to learn more: https://wix.to/ibOEPpn

I’ve seen how psychotherapy, rooted in relational psychodynamic work, helps people change not by quick fixes but through deep connection and understanding. Drawing on research and clinical experience with children and adolescents — and using creative and athletic modalities when helpful — therapy becomes a lived practice that reshapes patterns, builds emotional stamina, and restores meaning. If you’re in Los Angeles and looking for thoughtful, evidence-informed care that honors your story, I’d be honored to walk alongside you. Learn more: https://wix.to/BijaD1r 🌿🕊️

As a licensed clinician in Beverly Hills, I combine relational psychodynamic insight with practical tools that lead to measurable change. Ready to reshape your family’s story? After moments of reflection, I help parents and adolescents turn insight into gentle, reliable routines that support emotional regulation and smoother transitions. Try a 5‑minute “body check‑in” before homework, a weekly shared art prompt (collage or music playlist) to express shifts in mood, or a short movement ritual—three grounding breaths and a simple stretch—to close the day. Use conversation starters like “What felt surprising today?” or “Where did you notice your energy?” to deepen connection without pressure. These small practices, grounded in relational psychodynamic work, lead to measurable changes: calmer evenings, clearer boundaries, and steadier mood responses. I specialize in adolescent and family therapy, and I practice in Beverly Hills; if you’d like personalized ideas, visit https://wix.to/RrWDbWX and let’s explore what fits your family. ✨🕊️

I’m inviting you to pause with me and set one realistic mental-health intention for the year: tend one relationship—whether with yourself, a family member, or a friend—with curiosity rather than judgment. From our psychodynamic lens, small, steady acts of curiosity reveal patterns and create room for change. If you’d like a simple guide to build resilient routines that support young people and families in Beverly Hills, see our company guide and local appointment info at https://wix.to/HGHpKwf 🌿✨
