I think this is about empowering you. Many patients are diagnosed in their late teens or 20s—a pivotal time for self-image.
• Quality of Life: High-quality aesthetic outcomes contribute to overall patient satisfaction and mental well-being.
• Confidence: When a patient feels that their surgeon cared enough to minimize the physical “footprint” of the operation, it fosters a stronger therapeutic bond and a sense of being “seen” as a whole person, not just a pathology. There is nothing incorrect about carrying your scars proudly. But for those who don’t want them I try to do my best to treat them like a plastic surgeon would.
