Our annual Holidays are for Sharing campaign raises funds for the Help Fund, which provides support for clients and families to partake in holiday festivities and for year-round emergency funding for those members of our community in need.

Here’s what your donation can do:

* $30 can buy a gift card or movie passes for an adult living independently on SSI.

* $60 can brighten a child’s holiday with a new toy as well as a new jacket.

* $75 will buy a Turkey Basket or Holiday Meal Vouchers for a family celebration

* $125 can provide a new toy for two children and stock the pantry with holiday goodies for a family of four.

* $250 can provide toys for up to three children and a complete holiday dinner for a family.

* $500 can provide toys and winter coats for four children and a holiday dinner for the entire family or provide a six-month bus pass for an adult client so they can get to and from work independently.

THIS WEDNESDAY, 12/03 - Presented by TASK Los Angeles in collaboration with Lanterman’s Koch-Young Resource Center.

This workshop on Navigating Conflict Through ADR: Alternative Dispute Resolution in Special Education being held on Wednesday, December 3, starting at 1 p.m. offers a supportive introduction to Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) and how it can help families and schools work together when questions or concerns arise during the IEP process. You will learn how ADR works, the various options available through your district or SELPA, and practical communication tools that encourage teamwork and understanding. The session also provides helpful tips for building positive, collaborative partnerships with your IEP team while navigating challenges in a constructive way.
