02May2025 Made a courtesy call to UST FMS Dean, Dr. Lourdes Maglinao, who gave me a private tour of the Saints Cosmas and Damian Center for Simulation and Research. What a privilege to see first hand the inside of this amazing building which is on its last leg of installations. Excited for the medical students who will benefit from this. The building is set to open this year. USTMAASC was a proud supporter of this project from its conception. We applaud Dean Maglinao for the realization of such ambitious project.

USTMAASC is thrilled to invite all UST Medicine Alumni here and abroad, to join us for a lively up close and personal "kuwentuhan" with our very own UST Medicine Dean, Dr. Lourdes "Odette" Maglinao, on Friday, March 28 at 6 PM PST/9 PM EST (Manila time is March 29 at 9 AM). So many alumni are unaware of the latest developments within the UST Faculty of Medicine. Here's a chance to hear it straight from our current Dean. Registration is required to get the Zoom link. USTMAASC Webinar Series is back! We just completed our first webinar for Season II yesterday with our guest speaker, Dr. Manuel Atienza. We thank all the attendees for making the webinar a big success. We will continue to provide educational webinars to all foreign medical graduates.

USTMAASC Webinar Series Season II starts this September 20.
We will be offering topics that will be of interest to both practicing and non practicing physicians here in the US and other countries.
For our first webinar, we will have 2 presentations - An alternative career pathway for medical graduates here in the US.
The 2nd topic explores the use of Artificial Intelligence technology in telehealth service, providing the most secure and highest level of personal privacy and addressing various facets of healthcare from electronic billing to AI driven documentation, data exchange and network referral.

USTMAASC members paid their last respects to Dr. Manuel Baculi during the viewing and funeral service. During the burial service, Dr. Baculi was given military funeral honors. We bid a great leader goodbye. May he rest in peace.

USTMAASC mourns the passing of one of its distinguished Presidents, Dr. Manuel Baculi. He served as the 2nd President of the Association from 1996-1997. We would like to share the schedule of the services at Forest Lawn in Cypress, CA. We wish you Dr. Baculi a peaceful journey back to Our Creator. May eternal light shine upon him. We will miss you!

The UST Medical Alumni Association of Southern California (USTMAASC) is a dynamic professional organization of alumni from the UST Faculty of Medicine and Surgery who are currently residing in Southern California. The association is dedicated to providing its members with professional and cultural enhancement, and community service opportunities while promoting unity and active interaction among its members. Furthermore, USTMAASC supports and fosters the needs of the UST Medical School and other community projects.

USTMAASC is also a tax exempt, 501(c) 3 nonprofit organization. Tax ID no. 95-4513641.
