My name is Zelina and I have a passion for healing and wellness. Coming from a lineage of healers, I discovered my life path after recovering from several health hardships including Lupus, addiction, a back injury and more. In 2007, I found myself stuck

in a health and emotional rut. I had been recently diagnosed with Lupus and I felt as though my life and desire to keep living it, was slipping away. My kidneys were failing and my doctor told me that if I didn’t take the medication he was prescribing, I would die. I didn’t know a whole lot about healthcare then, but taking an immunosuppressant drug (a drug that suppresses the immune system) seemed counter intuitive. I started researching Lupus day and night and found that most patients who took those drugs were progressively getting worse, and with newer problems. “There must be another way,” I thought. I found alternative ways of healing and at the urge of my mother I decided to try acupuncture. From that very first treatment, I felt a major shift. My faith in recovering was renewed, I felt as though healing was possible. “Why isn’t everyone doing this?” I thought. I was progressing with each treatment, and combined with food therapy, yoga, meditation, and other forms of therapy; my health was restored. My transformation was quick; my labs were normal after just a year. Acupuncture became my answer to everything, even when I asked myself “what am I doing with my life?” It felt so natural to pursue the healing arts, and my life has changed for the better. Getting healthy was a long and challenging process, but it has been absolutely worth it! As a practitioner, I believe that people have the capacity to heal themselves. Our bodies are amazing works of art that sparkle with energy and functionality and whose self-healing mechanisms can be initiated using the right tools. I also believe in empowering others to become active participants in their recovery. I work by discovering and treating the root cause(s) of disease, which in many cases is/are due to a mind-body-spirit disconnect. Trauma stuck in the body often manifests as pain, discomfort or other health conditions. I often work with folks recovering from trauma, autoimmune conditions, ancestral trauma, mood imbalances and more. I like to combine different forms of therapy such as acupuncture, guided meditation, food therapy, plant medicine and herbs, cupping, moxibustion, movement therapy and anything else I feel someone needs. It is important to understand that healthy is a lifestyle. You matter and how you move through life matters. I am not your typical doctor, I like to listen and I devote my time to you and your healing journey. I have gifts to share and my work is unlike anyone else’s. My goal is to help you look and feel great, to remind you of your POWER and to make you feel seen and heard. I graduated from Southern California University of Health Sciences with my Master’s of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, and completed my Doctorate program at Emperor’s College in March 2018. I completed a Traditional Mexican Medicine course in Oaxaca, Mexico as hosted by the University of New Mexico, a study program at the Yoga Farm in Grass Valley, CA, and countless independent studies in holistic health and spiritual well-being. I am licensed by the California Acupuncture Board. Hablo Español.

They’ve feared your power all along.

Especially if you’re a woman.

Especially if you’re Black, Brown, Indigenous.

Not because you’re broken—

But because deep inside you is the original medicine.

The remembrance.

The rhythm of the Earth.

The codes of creation.

The truth they’ve tried to erase.

They feared it so much,

They tried to bury it.

Through colonization, patriarchy, white supremacy, systems built to separate us from our bodies, our land, and each other.

But even now—

Your body remembers.

Your womb carries the power.

It’s not weakness.

The greatest gift you can give yourself—and others—is compassion.

The world can be harsh, overwhelming, even heartbreaking at times.

But you don’t have to meet it with more of the same.
Be the softness.

Be the sanctuary.
Be that safe place—for yourself first, and then for others.

Because healing starts with how we treat ourselves.
And compassion is the medicine that makes everything else possible.

That is what feminine energy is and what the world desperately needs more of.

11 ways to care for yourself in times of extreme stress, fear or uncertainty

In moments of crisis, the most powerful thing you can do is care deeply for your body, mind, and spirit.

Here are 11 essential ways to stay grounded, resilient, and resourced:

1 - Prioritize your essential needs – Make sure you have a safe place to rest, eat 3 nourishing meals daily (with fiber, fat, and protein), and drink 2–3L of water per day.

2 - Focus on what you can control – This helps prevent overwhelm and restores a sense of agency.

3 - always remember to BREATHE – Slow, even breaths regulate your nervous system and anchor you in the present. Long exhales calm the body’s stress response.

4 - get plenty of rest - this is crucial to make sound choices from a place of calibration, when we don’t rest enough, we are in a constant state of fight or flight

5 - Prepare your home – Have enough food, water, and emergency supplies (like flashlights and batteries) on hand in case of outages.

6 - Create a simple plan – Knowing your next steps restores confidence and agency

7 - have compassion for yourself and others - this is not the time to be casting blame or getting into heated debates with anyone, this is the time to support, uplift and empower each other

8 - gather your tools and allies - herbs, teas, tinctures, prayers, medicine songs, journals, musical instruments, empowering quotes and talks, and whatever healing tools that can assist you to stay STRONG and IN your POWER

9 - spiritual practices - if you have them, this is the time to practice them fiercely and if you don’t, a perfect time to start - prayer is extremely powerful, call on your ancestors and spirit team for assistance, build an altar, pray with others, host or attend a circle

10 - practice safe and responsible media consumption and sharing - don’t give into spreading fear or misinformation, be discerning with what and how much you watch and share

11 - feel your feelings, but don’t stay stuck - be present, aware and alert

You are more powerful than you know.
Anchor into what supports your highest self—body, mind, and spirit.

Most people think of Friday the 13th as bad luck.

But truthfully? It’s one of the most powerful days for women to reclaim their divine feminine essence.

🌙 In ancient cultures, 13 was the sacred number of the Divine Feminine — representing the lunar cycles, fertility, intuition, and deep inner wisdom.

Getting sick is your body’s way of getting your attention.

But getting sick doesn’t mean you have to STAY sick.
You can choose to heal yourself and grow stronger and wiser because of it.

Your body is trying to tell you something.
Instead of masking your symptom, or reaching for medication, stop and listen.
Stop and care for yourself.
Rest.

If you have a history of trauma, your body has a lot to share with you.
Those moments of getting sick is your body’s way of communicating with you. Maybe it needs love, attention, nurturing or perhaps simply acknowledging or rest.

Your body is holding onto a lot of wisdom.
When we get sick, it teaches us surrender and self care.
When we get better, it teaches us resilience.
