Prostate Cancer Awareness Month: Early detection saves lives! When caught early, prostate cancer has a 5‑year survival rate of over 99% if it’s localized. For most men, getting regular screening after age 50 (or earlier if you have higher risk) is crucial. Talk to your CCHC provider about your screening options.

When to consider screening:
• Age 50+ for average‑risk men.
• Age 45 (or even 40) if you’re at higher risk (e.g. family history or African American descent).
