Stay strong, stay focused. 💪 The RESISTT skill helps you navigate intense emotions by Refocusing, Engaging in a different activity, and turning to your Senses. It’s all about Inhibiting impulsive actions and keeping your mind on what Truly matters. 🌟

R: Reframe the Situation
When things feel overwhelming, it’s easy to see them as all good or all bad. Instead, try to find a new way to look at the situation. Find the grey area, and focus on what’s manageable.

E: Engage in a Distracting Activity
When your mind is stuck on something, dive into a different activity. Doing something else helps shift your focus and calms your mind.

S: Focus on Someone Else
Shift your attention to another person. Help a friend, listen to someone, or do something kind. This helps take the focus off of what we are experiencing.

I: Intense Sensations
If you’re feeling overwhelmed, try something that grabs your attention, like holding ice, taking a cold shower, or stepping into the sun. Intense sensations can help ground you.

S: Shut It Out
If you’re in a situation that’s too much, step away if you can. Leave the environment or mentally put the problem in a “box” to deal with later.

T: Focus on Neutral Thoughts
Think about things that don’t add to your stress. Count, focus on colors around you, or repeat a calming phrase to yourself.

T: Take a Break
Give yourself permission to pause. Whether it’s taking a day off or delaying a task, sometimes a break is what you need to reset.

Keystone Treatment is dedicated to providing the highest quality, individualized care for eating disorders and mental health. At our core we believe that care should be accessible, reaching clients most in need.
That’s why we are excited that Keystone Treatment has joined the Aetna Behavioral Health family as a contracted program!
In 2024, we are committed to expanding our network participation in order to continue providing a needed treatment option for both adults and adolescents without the financial barriers that, sadly, are too often associated with seeking help.

We are proud to announce that all levels of care at Keystone Treatment
are now in-network with Optum!

Finding accessible, quality care for eating disorders and mental health shouldn’t be so difficult. That’s why we are excited that Keystone Treatment has joined the Optum family!
Too many people begin the monumental task of seeking help, only to find out it’s financially impossible to support. Joining the Optum network furthers our mission of providing inclusive care to all who need it.

Burnout can happen to anyone. Here are some strategies to help you cope:

💤 Prioritize rest and sleep. Make sure you're getting enough sleep and taking breaks throughout the day.

📅 Schedule self-care. Make time for activities that bring you joy. 

👥 Connect with others. Reach out to friends and family for support, or consider joining a support group.

🧘‍♀️ Practice mindfulness. Take a few minutes each day to focus on your breathing or practice meditation.

📝 Set boundaries. Learn to say no to commitments that add unnecessary stress to your life.

🙏 Remember to be kind to yourself. It's okay to take a break and prioritize your mental health.
