La Luna Flama is the mobile massage company of Rachel Wanyoike, LMT (licensed massage therapist). La Luna Flama mobile massage comes to your business, hotel or residence in the greater Los Angeles area for a flat rate of $115 an hour. I work on clients who are traveling, who want a regular massage at home, or who want a massage at their business. This is a flat rate regardless of the service you choose and the price also includes all aromatherapy / essential oils used. If you are more than 10 miles away from me there is a surcharge for travel (reflective of the distance traveled, time spent, and mileage). I also massage at events, public and private, for a flat rate. Previous events I have worked are Finals Week at the University of TN Knoxville, Grand Openings of businesses, bridal shower parties, and Art Gallery openings. I have also massaged at charity functions, marathons, gyms and sports events, as well as many other health and wellness related functions. La Luna Flama is currently able to travel with clients - offering private massage while accompanying clients - locally and over long distances. This type of arrangement would work for touring musicians and bands, hiring me to travel with them, to festivals and shows. This would translate well to dancers and most traveling performers who endure grueling schedules and need regular body work and energy work to stay healthy and balanced. My areas of expertise are: working with clients suffering from chronic illness, chronic pain, inflammatory illnesses and neurological disorders. (Fibromyalgia, MS, Parkinson's, Bell's Palsy, and more). I combine myofascial release technique, trigger point therapy, deep tissue massage, Thai yoga massage and more to give a well rounded, thorough healing session. With goals of bringing the client out of a cycle of pain, mitigating and sometimes stopping symptoms. I also have worked extensively on athletes and musicians/performers - both groups of people who tend to suffer from repetitive motion injuries as well as postural and structural issues. Much of what I do during a medical massage session with a client suffering from TMJ Syndrome translates to singers. Postural and structural work I give to MS patients translates well to folks playing large and bulky instruments (upright bass, drums, tuba, etc.). Thai yoga massage, Reiki and breathe work round out a typical session on a performer. Although every session is different, varies depending on the needs of the client on that particular day, and is tailor made for each person. I always include some Reflexology in each session, as it is gentle, subtle yet POWERFUL for addressing most issues. I also always include aromatherapy in each session, providing the client likes it and has no allergies. Both Reflexology and and aromatherapy are included at no extra cost. At this point, 10 years into my practice, I can not conceive of working without my oils and without passing over the adrenal glands and brain reflex points on your feet! I have developed a unique blend of myriad modalities, all of which I have training and certification in, and I create a special and therapeutic session individualized for each client. The best way to book a massage is by either calling or texting me at 865.385.3911. My business hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 11am until 7pm. I return calls for appointments within 24 hours, but typically less than 12 hours. Cancellation Policy: All services require a 24 hour cancellation notification. Barring any emergency or illness, if you cancel without enough notice, you will be billed half the amount of the session you booked. Clients that do not respect this policy or try to avoid paying the cancellation fee will not be scheduled again for any future sessions. Due to a large number of no call and no show appointments in 2016 and 2017, all clients must pre pay for the session at the time of booking.

Bio: I went to the Tennessee School of Therapeutic Massage in 2007, graduating at the top of my class, with honors. I passed the National Boards for Certification, then received my license to practice massage in the state of TN (lic #6880) in November of 2007. In 2007 I also attended a rigorous 200 hour course in Reflexology. Additionally I attended a 200 hour Spa Techniques course - where I learned to how administer spa services and to concoct many health and wellness products (see photos of products by La Luna FLama by scrolling back through older posts or simply click on the "Photos" link on this page).
