Individuals in the cannabis group were 3 times more likely to be alcoholics. I wonder what else they were using prescription or not that the authors chose to ignore. Don’t let people scare you when you need medicine. Do let this worry you if you are in your teenage years and think there is no problem to smoke al day.

A loving note, from a family member of a patient who recently passed:

Little did my Mom know, but she would become an advocate for ma*****na use as a means of managing Parkinson’s w/ Dementia and the vicious side effects of anxiety and restlessness. Our wonderful doctor, Dr. Sherry Yafai, leads the research in this area and has included my Mom in her studies of the impact of ma*****na as a means of managing symptoms versus traditional pharmaceuticals. My mom’s daily “gummies” kept her able to function without the nasty nausea and hallucinations that other meds had caused and also increased her appetite and allowed her to maintain a healthy weight. They were truly a godsend and I hope that Dr. Yafai is able to convince practitioners to rely on these options, especially for managing hospital psychosis and other horrific conditions that plague this community.
