My South African friend, Willem, who now lives in Los Gatos, has agreed to run the California International Marathon in aid of the South African Non-profit, The Eyes2Eyes Foundation:https://www.eyes2eyes.org.za, of which I am a volunteer Director. Part of the foundation's work is to provide scleral lenses to those not fortunate enough to be able to afford these specialised, expensive and essential lenses. Willem, as a scleral lense user himself, due to his own journey with the cornea disease, keratoconus, knows how these lenses have positively impacted his life, and wants to help others receive this incredible gift of sight.
