If getting to sleep, or staying asleep. Is challenging, join for Deep Sleep.

On Sunday. Sept 14 from 1:30-4:30, learn science-backed mindfulness, breathwork, and somatic practices to ease anxiety, stress, and tension during the day so that you can fall asleep and stay asleep at night.

You’ll also be guided through a self-hypnosis sleep protocol to create your own personalized sleep practice. These are easy self-hypnosis techniques to relax your body, clear your thoughts, and guide you into a deep, restful state. Repost from . See link in bio to donate.

While I have the privilege of training for my first official group bike ride on September 13th, likely like you, I think all the time about people who struggle to even get a meal.

I’m particularly struck by Gaza right now. I like World Central Kitchen very much because they are courageous and go to places where food is most needed.

I’m riding around the San Francisco Bay, which means alot to me because wow, I was born in northern California through some great fortune. I’ve lived around this bay nearly my whole life.

Truth be told, if I get from San Francisco to Oakland via Marin it will be a victory. I’m simply not that good of a rider yet. But the ride continues and if there is anything left, I’ll continue south, going as far as I can.

Please know about this organization. Would you make a donation? They are trying to feed a million meals a day in Gaza right now.

It often feels like there is so little we can do. That is the mind playing tricks. We look for every opportunity to contribute to a better world and we enjoy the ride along the way as a moral obligation.

And if you happen to be riding this same ride, please let me know. I will wave to you as you blow by me.

Thanks very much.

Introducing our September Drink: Pomegranate Lime Elixir! ✨🩷

The Pomegranate Lime Elixir combines hydrating coconut water with a dash of salt for extra electrolytes.

As the summer winds down, this extra support can help us through residual heat. Pomegranate and lime add antioxidants and agave offers some sweetness.

So refreshing!

*Sunday 10am Power Vinyasa
*Tuesday 6pm Vinyasa
*Wed 5:45pm Vinyasa
*Workshop: Sun, Sept 7, 12-3pm Meditative Art: Studying Leaves

1) Where did you grow up?
✅ Oakland, Ca. AKA “The Town” or “Oaktown”

2) What was your first job?
✅ My Father was an inventor, so I’d package his products at age 13 for $5 hr.

3) What are your favorite things to do in your free time?
✅ I’ll spend free time gardening, with family, and these days, practicing Art. I am enjoying how Art and Yoga are so inter-related.

4) What's the most impactful place you've visited?
✅ Cambodia, but 20 years ago, before they built the big fancy airport. From whom and where I learned about the Khmer Rouge will be imprinted forever.

5) When did you become a yoga practitioner and why?
✅ I found Yoga later in life at 46. I knew after my first class that I’d be dedicating a lot of my time to learning more about it. Yoga teachers were like Goddesses to me, and I never dreamed I could teach, and was terrified to even try. I knew if I ever got the nerve up, I would have to be retired from my career because this passion would consume me. Now, at 60, I teach Power and Vinyasa Yoga every day and have never been more deeply gratified in my life. Our students at BTY are kind, wise, receptive and so present. They light me up, and are why I teach!

6) Who's your favorite musician?
✅ Prince and then Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young

7) What book are you reading?
✅ It’s been a long time since I read something other than a Yoga or Art book, but I just indulged in the 1938 Gothic novel by Daphne du Maurier, Rebecca. It felt so good to be transported by this beautifully written novel.

Welcome the shift to fall with sound healing and acupuncture. on Saturday, September 13 from 4-6pm. Danny Goldberg will use sound healing of singing bowls, gongs and chimes to cultivate healing vibrations that pass through our bodies, opening blockages, allowing our minds to quiet. Bridget Puchalsky LAc will apply acupuncture needles to support the nervous system and enhance immunity.

The intent is to cultivate movement and flow in the body, clearing out the energetic heat left of summer as we approach the autumn equinox. This workshop is perfect for anyone feeling ready to slow down and ground the mind and body. It’s also a great introduction to sound healing AND acupuncture.
