Last week, a new patient stepped into our office, her story resonating deeply with me. A middle-aged, active mom of three boys and a furry companion, she was grappling with persistent pain in her inner thigh that simply wouldn't fade away. Despite her best efforts with over-the-counter meds, ice, heat, lotions, and rest, the pain persisted, stealing away one of her greatest joys—beach walks with her dog.

It hit home for me, how often we take for granted the simple pleasures in life, like my own beach strolls with my dogs. This story is about Bear. And you. But mostly Bear.

Some of you know Bear, my 11-year-old dog who's a regular at the office and on my Facebook feed .
A while back, Bear had a health scare that left him unable to do his business. After vet visits, medications, and a looming surgery, I was at my wit's end. As a chiropractor, I'd been adjusting his back, but it wasn't until I visited an animal chiropractor that we saw a miracle. 🙏

It turned out Bear's atlas was misaligned due to his habit of pulling on his leash. One adjustment later, and not far from the office, Bear had a majestic bowel movement. It was a moment of pure joy and relief!💩 For him and myself !

This experience reinforced a valuable lesson: chiropractic care is about finding the cause, not chasing the symptoms. It's a reminder I cherish both as a practitioner and a pet parent.
