This Friday, our office will be closed in solidarity with the nationwide shutdown protesting recent ICE actions.
Please understand that this was not a decision we made lightly. There are moments in medicine when the work is sacred, when caring for people requires looking beyond the exam room. These are the moments when staying aligned with our core values matters as much as showing up on the schedule. This Friday is one of those moments.
“Wherever there is a love of medicine, there is a love of humanity.” — Hippocrates
This has been my guiding quote since my first day of medical school. It has served as a moral compass throughout my career, reminding me that healing is inseparable from dignity, safety, and the freedom to exist without fear.
We care for people during some of the most vulnerable seasons of their lives. We witness, every day, how fear, instability, and family separation live in the body. We see how it affects pregnancies, mental health, and overall well-being. We cannot truly hold space for healing while remaining silent when basic humanity itself is being compromised.
Closing our office for one day is an act of solidarity with our patients, our staff, and the broader Bay Area community. It is how we honor the deeper responsibility of medicine: to protect human life in all its forms.
We will reopen on Monday, February 2, 2026, and continue caring for our patients with presence, compassion, and unwavering advocacy.
Thank you for trusting us. Thank you for being part of our Village.
