This photo was posted on a (Female 😉) Optometrist FB Group. It’s a Retinal Screening of a 22 year old male with no complaints and 20/20 corrected Visual Acuity. Home from college and mom scheduled him a “routine” eye exam. And it’s a heartbreaking reminder of why we stress the importance of Comprehensive Eye-Health exams even for people with great eyesight. The Optometrist immediately referred the patient to an Oncologist because of the concerning growth in the top portion of the photo. Potentially saving his eye and almost 💯 chance she saved this young man’s life. Please encourage your friends and family members to see their Optometrist every year.
