I have watched MacKenzie Sydow grow from a little girl into a beautiful young woman. Many obstacles stood in her way, however, as a young woman she has accomplished so much. Losing both parents, bringing up and ensuring her autistic brother completed high school, attending UNM to be a nurse, working, and now a POSH model. She has achieved so much. She is a true inspiration for young people and I truly believe that everyone should know about her. Her parents would be so proud of her and her grandma, Paula, surely is.

Also enjoying the company of my great grandaughter.......what a blessing!

Our Story

This site is dedicated to the mothers and family of addicts who are and have been impacted by the actions and behavior of an addict. An addiction, either drug, alcohol or a behavior ultimately affects those closest to the addict. Families try to cope with the loved one who is struggling, but over time significant problems occur thus creating a dysfunction within the family. In an effort to help the addict, the family ultimately engages in behaviors that begin to break down relationships between the family members. This site is dedicated to the education and understanding of the addiction process and the impact on the family. The goal is to help those affected through education, support, and participation. Although the focus is on parents and family, we invite anyone to participate including those who have experienced an addiction.
