Our granddaughter, Haylen Johnson, defending for Los Lunas High School Lady Tigers during the Class 5A, District 5 (5-5A) title game against Albuquerque High School Lady Bulldogs last night. Haylen plays Center. AHS won the matchup 45-42 on a buzzer-beater shot. Albuquerque is ranked 4th in the state and Los Lunas is ranked 6th. The highest level of prep basketball in New Mexico is Class 5A, which features the state's largest schools under the New Mexico Activities Association (NMAA). This Veterans Day, we give thanks for the brave men and women who have served our country with honor.

We pray for all veterans, that God may bless them for their sacrifices, strengthen their families, and grant peace to those who have fallen. We especially honor the Knights of Columbus who have served or are serving in the Armed Forces, exemplifying our Order’s principles of charity, unity, and patriotism through their service.

Today we participated in the 2022 Believe in Heroes Memorial Run. This event raises funds for local veterans and law enforcement nonprofit organizations in Valencia County. We’re proud to be an annual sponsor, and we thank the Sais Family at Main Street Muscle and Fitness Center in Los Lunas for leading the effort to organize this event for the community.

Dr. Harvey Johnson and our Office Nurse Alyssa Johnson coached the Eagles 🦅 basketball 🏀 team for the Village of Los Lunas Recreation Division girls 11/12 years old division to a successful season. Alyssa’s daughter and Dr. Harvey’s granddaughter, Haylen, was a forward for the team. We were very grateful to all of the players, parents, and staff who came together to have a wonderful and fun season.

Congrats to the Eagles for winning the the 11/12 girls division. This makes it a wrap on our first youth basketball season. We’re not sure if it will be back next year dependent on the status of LLYBL. We want to thank all the coaches, players, officials, parents and our staff for making this league a success! Next up is volleyball and soccer!
