Welcome to Embodied Life! Return to Ease, Return to Life, Return to YOU! At Embodied Life we believe real healing and lasting transformation is possible within an embodied connection of body and being. This work draws from authentic movement, somatic trauma resolution methods, and therapeutic touch for renegotiation of injury, surgery, developmental trauma and early attachment disruption. My qualification include a M.A. in Depth Psychology and Somatic gained through Pacifica Graduate Institute. My background in Depth Psychology gives my work a foundational basis not only in psychology but in approaching psychological and physical symptoms as interconnected and interdependent to one another. I have completed my studies in Somatic Experiencing™ (S.E.) SE is a system developed by Peter Levine that works to assist the nervous system in regulation and integration of past trauma and the imprints of fight/flight/freeze responses that have not completed physiologically. I am a licensed Certified Massage Practitioner and Somato Emotional Release SER1 CranioSacral therapist under the study of The Upledger Institute. I practice a hands on approach in working with most clients utilizing CranioSacral therapy and intuitive touch. CranioSacral therapy utilizes gentle palpation techniques for tracking, regulation and healing of the nervous system. These tools work primarily with the spine, cranial bones and sacrum which houses the ANS. Additionally CranioSacral techniques can be used to work with many aspects of the physical, physiological and energy bodies. As a lover of embodied practices I have a background in many of the embodied arts including dance, yoga, tai chi, and authentic movement. I have practiced and taught yoga for over 7 years and offer embodiment practices and group workshops here locally on the central coast.
