Mindful ~ Kindful ~ Peaceful: The moment to moment practices to transform our lives into harmony with our true nature. Flowing and Growing Through Life: Everything is energy and energy is transforming. ss. A fallen leaf eventually becomes part of the earth, a fallen pine cone becomes food, or a seed becomes a tree or a flower. What may seem like the end is actually the becoming of something new. Energy becoming. Who have you become? Who are you becoming? Life has a way of bringing up this question again and again as we confront both daily challenges and life-changing events. What if who you are becoming, or hope to become, is also about un-becoming everything that isn’t really you so you can discover, or re-discover, your true nature and how you want to show up in life no matter what obstacles may appear - in health, relationships, or other life circumstances. "It may be that when we no longer know what to do, we have come to our real work and when we no longer know which way to go, we have begun our real journey." ~Wendell Berry

The word university is derived from the Latin word universus, meaning “whole, entire.” Mindful Kindful YOUniversity (MK YOU) is the study of YOU and your whole-being on this journey of life. Learn and practice how to navigate and flow through life moment to moment in a healthy, balanced, and positive way for mental and physical health and well-being. Your well-being is the most important education you will ever receive in the school of life. Learn pragmatic, simple evidence-based practices to navigate the ups and downs of daily living and positively support you in responding to life as it is — the good stuff, the tough stuff, all of it — with grace and the skills to be mindful, kindful, and peaceful. Experience for yourself how these practices and essential life skills of mindfulness, heartfulness, supported by nature and sound energy, can be the foundation for greater strength, resilience, health, and happiness. I would be honored to be your guide.

I had a sweet walk at thoroughly enjoying watching the different birds seemingly enjoying the windy conditions. It was so beautiful to just watch them effortlessly gliding. At times I felt like I was inside a snow globe. I have about 10 more videos of them flying. It was a perfect meditation and made my day.

The call of the drum brings us into remembrance — that we are rhythm, breath, and belonging. 🌿🥁

“Nature Rhythms” is a facilitated mindful drumming circle — gently guided, intentional, and open to everyone — where you are held and supported as we move through grounding rhythms, creative exploration, and moments of mindful reflection together.

Sometimes, as the rhythm deepens, songs naturally arise — songs to comfort, connect, contemplate, strengthen, or uplift. You are warmly encouraged to participate in the way that feels right for you—whether you sing, hum, or simply listen and receive the music medicine. !

You don’t need to know how to drum. You don’t need to be musical. You only need to show up.

Many who come find stress releasing from their body, emotions moving through, and a deep sense of grounding and joy emerging — the natural alchemy of rhythm doing its quiet, powerful work.

✨ Two upcoming circles:
📍 Sat, May 2 @ 6pm — Santa Ynez
📍 Wed, May 6 @ 11am — San Luis Obispo (Crow’s End Retreat Ctr)

We often feel like we have to do everything to make a difference in these chaotic times. But what if we viewed our efforts as an ecosystem?

In an ecosystem, we aren’t all meant to be the trunk of the tree; some are the roots, some are the fruit, and some are the shade. I recently sat down to write about my own struggle with “organizer burnout” and how I rediscovered that my work as a healer and creator is my resistance. If you’ve ever felt like you aren’t “doing enough” or felt like you aren’t “enough” as a person, I wrote this for you.

I would love to hear your reflections on it!

I’ve been sitting here looking out my window - watching the pre sunset, then the sunset and then the afterglow over the past few hours. I’m noticing the indigo blue ripples on the bay water, listening,to the tinkling of my chimes blowing in the breeze and the frogs happily croaking just down the block. Watching birds last flybys before settling in for the evening. I enjoyed some grounding time this morning sitting in a grove of eucalyptus and smelling their sweet smells after a day of rain. But today the sun was shining. The same things day after day and yet they still hold magic every single day. My heart could not be happier. Happy Earth Day, Mama Earth. I love you.

Happy Earth Day! I’m grateful that I got to guide a Sierra Club group in a private forest bath today– the day after it rained. Everything smelled so good amongst the eucalyptus trees.
I’ll be hosting a public forest bath next month on May 17 – a nature connection experience or mini-retreat designed to help you step away from the rush of daily life and fill your “well” of well-being through the restorative practice of Shinrin Yoku (Forest Bathing).

Shinrin Yoku is the practice of immersing yourself in nature in a deeply mindful way. Emerging from Japan in the 1980s as a response to the stresses of modern life, this “ecotherapy” invites us to slow down and bridge the gap between our busy minds and the restorative rhythm of the natural world.

Tonight! “Sonic Soul Shine” Song Circle. An intentional space for:

Emotional Release: Simple songs of peace and compassion.

Therapeutic Sound: Multi-instrumental “sonic alchemy.”

Community: Reconnecting with what truly matters.

It’s more than just music—it’s “medicine”.

There is a unique power in group singing that goes far beyond the music itself. When we raise our voices together, we aren’t just making sound; we are shifting our internal state.

Emotional Resilience: Singing helps move us out of “fight or flight” and into a state of calm and presence.

Social Belonging: It’s one of the fastest ways to build a sense of community and social connection.

Stress Relief: It naturally lowers cortisol levels and boosts your “feel-good” endorphins.

Join Linda and me tonight for our Song Circle in Los Osos. We’re trading the “noise” of the world for a little harmony and a lot of heart.

📍 Los Osos | 🕖 6-8pm tonight!

No “singer” experience required—this is about expression, not perfection.

Please pre-register- we just have a few more openings. See linktree in bio for My805Tix or message me.

Had the pleasure of seeing this beauty up close. She appears completely unafraid and came out of the bushes just a few feet away and walked on ahead of us! What a sweet surprise. Grateful for the calm ocean and golden hour sunset along with that!

We were unable to meet last month, so I’m really looking forward to singing together tomorrow night in los Osos! Join Linda and me Monday evening this week! Pre-registration helps us to know how many people to expect. Using your voice is your birthright. Group singing offer significant physical, mental, and social benefits. It is a great stress buster and mood enhancer! When we sing together, our breathing and heart rates come into coherence, which creates a very calming collective effect. This isn’t about having a good voice – this is about expressing yourself and creating something beautiful…together.

We launched our Chakra Flow Sound Journey series last night at in Nipomo. Last night’s focus was on the root chakra that we began with movement, then flowed into vocal toning, immersive sound and stillness. There were some powerful vibrations happening as we were surrounded by crystals. Participants will receive a digital journal focused on the root chakra. Next month we will explore the sacral chakra. If you’d like to join us, be sure to register in advance. We typically sell out.

Last night was our first cancer care sound Journey at . It really was such a beautiful experience. On my drive home I noticed the little smudge on my windshield– it was a heart shape! My camera had a hard time focusing on it while taking in the beautiful scenery but you get the idea 🥰 I received this email from CSC-
“It was a lovely evening, and I am so grateful that we were able to make it happen. The feedback from participants was overwhelmingly positive. That was by far the most beautiful and intricate set up I have seen for a sound bath. A huge thanks…looking forward to continuing this collaboration.”
I’m so grateful to Bridgette Bateman at Adventist – Sierra Vista for sponsoring this and Kristin McMaster at Cancer Support Community in Templeton for collaborating and hosting this. We will be continuing this every other month in Templeton and every other month in SLO. You can view events on my site calendar.
