I am supremely honored to announce that I was selected for induction as a Holistic Nurse Scholar into the Global Academy of Holistic Nurses. The June 15, 2024 induction ceremony included 10 additional nurse scholars who have demonstrated significant accomplishments in transforming health care and promoting well-being through holistic nursing praxis, education, research, policy development, and engagement with professional and community organizations.

My partner, Peter, and I recently spent a few days traveling in New Mexico and camping at City of Rocks State Park in southwest NM. We had a very relaxing time exploring, hiking, taking it easy in our RV. The scenery was superb, and we enjoyed the strikingly unique rock formations. My big take-away from this trip, which included taking time to be still, to be surrounded by nature and its beauty, and to just breathe, was experiencing an acute and deep awareness of "knowing without thinking."
