It blows my mind when acupuncturists think that “weak” patients can’t be bled; bleeding actually builds blood, because it moves blood💡

If you’re looking for better help, either as a patient or a practitioner, you’ll want to listen to this episode. Let’s make the complement channels standard practice✨✨✨

Comment episode, & I’ll send it to you.

Social media makes it more difficult than ever not to compare ourselves to others. Are we doing enough as a parent, partner, business owner, friend, etc?

The healthy small intestine allows us to quietly evaluate this for ourselves, but when it gets a little overloaded, a small intestine luo channel treatment can be helpful.

Also, good for frequent urination or constipation, though we change the treatment just a little in that case.

If you’re interested in learning how to do this for yourself, stay tuned for the full course coming in 2026.

Whether you’re a patient or a practitioner looking for more from your acupuncture experience, you’re going to want to tune in for this episode. There’s so much more to the practice of Chinese medicine than why we learn in school, & I want to make sure everyone knows it’s there if they want it✨✨

Helloooo & welcome, especially all the new folks here! This account doubled in the last week, so I wanted to say hi & thank you for being interested in Classical Chinese medicine.

I’m a senior student of & complement channel practitioner, & started a podcast this year to talk about what’s missing from the modern practice of acupuncture, because the missing piece is often the 🔑 piece.

Ways to learn more & work with me:
🌟1:1 treatments in-person or remotely
🌟DIY acupuncture mini class
🌟The Original Medicine Podcast on Apple, Spotify, YouTube
🌟Weekly (mostly) Substack
🌟For acupuncturists: a NCCAOM approved continuing ed class on the techniques of the complement channels Jan 31 - Feb 1

Scheduling, learning, & registration all available on my website via link in bio✨✨

I genuinely love witnessing the realizations that my patients have when working together, & being open to making changes & having things change is powerful for healing🌟

This week’s episode is out on Spotify, Apple, & YouTube.

This is every acupuncturist’s worst nightmare, but as we say in school: “know the risk; no risk”.

While dry needling is an aggressive technique using acupuncture needles, it’s extremely rudimentary when it comes to understanding how the body works.

If you actually know & understand Chinese medicine, you know that we don’t bulldoze the body; we work with it. Dry needling is not only an example of bulldozing, but it’s most often utilized by those who have very little training, which is why it carries a much higher risk of pneumothorax.

No one sets out to injure their patients, but this is an example of not understanding the risk & not understanding how undertrained you are.

Deep needling isn’t the problem; the lack of training is. Please, please, please do not get dry needling, & if your acupuncturist uses dry needling, find a better acupuncturist.

Comment “episode ”, & I’ll send you my podcast episode on dry needling so you can learn more; this should not happen🙏🏻🙏🏻

Chinese medicine works WITH the body

LOL😆😆😆

I’d rather go through the phases of “not so perfect” than not try at all, so here I am.

Thank you to all of you who have listened to my podcast over the past couple months! It’s always a work in progress, but that’s life.

Fear affects the kidneys, but it will often get stored in the kidney luo channel, which is not a channel that modern acupuncture (TCM) uses. You need a complement channel practitioner✨✨

Or

If you’re interested in learning how to treat yourself, I have a low cost mini class focused on releasing the emotions of worry & anger (Spleen & liver luo). I’m planning to make additional DIY classes in the new year🌟

Comment DIY, & I’ll send you the link to the class.

Untreated luos can eventually lead to chronic disease, so it’s really helpful to release emotions stored in your body.

I have a mini class that teaches you how to release emotions specific to anger & worry, which is the liver & spleen luos.

Comment 🌟DIY🌟, & I’ll send you the link to the mini class.
