I’m excited to roll out several different ways to learn the complement channels as soon as humanly possible amongst an international move🤪

Until then, I do have a low cost miniclass that teaches you how to bleed the spleen & liver luo channels. I originally made this for non-acupuncturists, but acupuncturists got excited about it too🥳

Available on my website for whoever is interested. Comment MINICLASS & the 🤖 will send it direct.

TCM can be a big help, but it can also be like playing cards without the full deck.

You know like when you go on vacation & the Airbnb has a deck of cards that’s missing a few, so you make it work with what you’ve got.

That’s kinda what’s happening to all of us who went to TCM school, except a lot of us don’t even know what we’re missing.

But I’m not about that gatekeeping; a rising tide floats all boats, & I think it’s really important that acupuncturists & the public learn what came before TCM, so here I am😆🌟

I have a low cost miniclass that teaches how to bleed the spleen & liver luo channels, the channels that pertain to the emotions go worry & anger. This was designed for the public, but I’m so happy that acupuncturists have been interested!

Comment miniclass if you want the 🤖 to send you the link, & stay tuned for future opportunities to learn luos🌟🌟🌟

If you think about all the inputs to our systems—screens, text, social, education, news, sounds—it’s a wonder we can focus on anything at all.

Treating the large intestine luo is important for clearing out the cobwebs, so to speak, so that you can get focused again.

If you’re interested in learning how to use the luo channels, definitely follow along. I’m going to be offering different opportunities to learn with me.

Right now, I have a super low cost miniclass that teaches you how to treat the SP & LV luo channels, which have to do with the emotions of overthinking & anger. Comment MINICLASS, & the 🤖will send it over.

TCM will refer to women’s health issues as a blood deficient issue, but it’s imprint to know that there’s more to it than that.

When we don’t have enough thick fluids, we often deplete thin fluids, & without thin fluids, it’s hard to build blood.

So adjusting our diets to include more warm, wet foods, including grains, as well as really reducing spicy food, onions & garlic, coffee & chocolate (these things generate heat that can consume the resources we’re trying to build) is really important for healing.

If it runs in the family, this tells us there’s an 8x issue, & we need to address that first (IMO). Personally, I see a lot of mediumship depletion that has an underlying 8x.

If you want to know more about the 8x (eight extraordinary channels) & how we use them to address issues that run in the family, comment 8x below, & I’ll send you the episode on this from The Original Medicine Podcast.

Some schools offer an elective on “secondary vessels”, as if they are actually secondary😳😳

These channels—the complement channels—are not secondary at all. They’re an elaborate system that protects the functioning of the primary channels by storing threats so that the primary channels remain relatively unaffected.

I always say that treating primary channels when you actually have a complement channel problem is a little like brushing your teeth while eating Oreos.

Sure, you can get a little ground, but what if you went to where the problem actually is?!

It’s mind blowing that we don’t get taught this in school! They teach us master-couple points & call that an 8x treatment (it’s not), & there’s literally not any mention of the sinews, the luos, or the divergents.

Let’s learn this together to transform our health, the health of our patients, & the health of our profession🌟🌟🌟

Grief is so much more than death, & this is a really important concept to understand because the lungs affect far more than just respiration.

The lungs play an important role in menstruation & fertility, bowel movements, sweating, & fluids.

But also, if we don’t yet know (because schools don’t teach this) the ways the luo channels are involved in Chinese medicine physiology, we might continue the primary channels without realizing that the luos are storing things that are working against the patient.

Whether you’re an acupuncturist or not, I have a miniclass that teaches you how to release the emotions of worry & anger (SP & LV) for only $47.

Things like chronic picking at our nails or skin, fidgeting, chewing gum, & even itchy palms can be a sign that our lung has been affected in some way, as we seek to reconnection to something or someone.

Remember, the complement channels function to keep the primary channels (what TCM uses) safe, so their job is to shuttle threats to the other channels. This is done based on the type of threat AND the type of resources available.

Re: separation that happens at birth, this will nearly always affect the eight extraordinary channels (yuan level) could very well go to the luo channels (blood).

Does this mean that all is lost, & a baby that’s separated from its mother can never bond & be healthy?

Of course not, & I know this from personal experience. As soon as possible, we do as much Ren to Ren (skin to skin/tummy to tummy) time, baby wearing, & nursing if possible to help re-establish that connection & security.

Birth can be really tough. Again, trust me, I know from experience, & as babies, we don’t have conscious thoughts; we have instincts, & when things scare our instincts, this affects our channels, which can contribute to our psychological & physical health.

But the beauty is that the channels are also incredible for supporting people at all ages & stages in life.🌟

This is totally safe to do at home, BUT…

you must understand that it’s not just chasing after veins with a lancet. Chinese medicine is so much more sophisticated than that!

We’re treating a channel, & in this case, we’re offering the body an exit door. If you just go poking veins without an exit door, it’s unlikely to have the same effect.

I made a miniclass that teaches you how to open the exit door for two channels: the spleen & the liver, which are the organs associated with the emotions of overthinking & anger. It’s only $47.

I didn’t have enough time to recover from the natural dehydration that occurs from traveling before my subleaser told me this past Wednesday that she wasn’t going to move in to my office this past Friday.

Spoiler alert: she did, because we had a legal sublease that doesn’t allow for w***y nilly changing your mind.🤪

But I’m moving to France in two months, & I don’t have time for this kind of nonsense. I also felt really betrayed, because we had become friendly over the last six months or so, & I did a lot to help make it easy for her to move into this space.

My emotions created a lot of heat, on top of the dehydration, so I used the stomach luo to clear heat—& also the lung luo (not shown in this video), which also clears heat & also addresses the grief aspect of this situation, which was while the business deal was clear, it was hard to believe that someone I considered a friend would do something this this.

I think it’s important to share this, because I’m a regular person just like you, & even though I do a lot of work to understand my emotions, sometimes it gets the best of me, too.

And if you’ve never considered the ways that our emotions affect your physical health, this is your sign🌟
