Louisa Health and Rehab staff and residents had a blast celebrating National Apple Day with a yummy assortment of apples like Fuji Honeycrisp, Gala, Cosmic crisp, pink lady, and Granny Smith. We also had some delicious caramel-dipped apples and peanut butter dippers to enjoy!

Please join us in congratulating.....
Kyara Tsutsumi who has been chosen as our October Employee of the Month! She has been a Recreation Assistant with us for almost a year and a half, and started in high school, then graduated, and is staying local as she determines her next steps as one of our key evening and weekend assistants! Kyara is known for her joy, positivity, and her ability to smile with a truly genuine presence. She takes great care to include all patients and is very creative at finding new ways to engage a variety of patients in our center. There isn't a patient she hasn't met or tried to engage in a heartfelt or sincere manner. She jumps right in and helps the dietary and nursing teams to help provide a truly welcoming environment for our patients. When asked what they love the most about her, the patients stated," her joy, her smile, and she makes me laugh, even on hard days when I think I might cry". Kyara has a true intuition when it comes to emotions; she can sense when someone just needs a gentle listening ear, and has the ability to gather a variety of personalities into her groups. Her superpowers include: Making great playlists for the dining room, finding new ways to play UNO, helping our ladies with nail painting, getting great snacks for movie nights, and truly noticing the shy or sometimes timid patient that needs the extra invite. Her teammates nominated her and consistently mentioned her joy, smile, and positivity. Our patients have a better quality of life and fun with Kyara around, and we are so thankful she is on our team.
