Dressing in layers is one of the best ways to protect yourself from frostbite and cold-related injuries. Big news for Maria Parham Franklin! Our Emergency Department renovation has officially received its Certificate of Occupancy. This project restored three rooms with greater privacy and safety, along with some other structural and flow elements to promote better care and a safer environment for all.

This is an important milestone in our ongoing mission to expand access to high-quality care for our community. Thank you to our patients and staff for their patience during this months-long transition. We’re proud to continue serving the Franklin County community and beyond with compassion, dedication, and improved facilities.

Yesterday afternoon, we had the privilege of witnessing the historic Walk for Peace with the Venerable Monks as they came through Louisburg, right past the hospital. Our team put together care packages to greet them with as they passed by.

Their peaceful and compassionate message was felt by all and is a great reminder to live with peace in our everyday actions and with open hearts. We’re wishing them safe travels on the rest of their journey.

Tina’s part of our Emergency Department team, and her director and coworkers have nothing but wonderful things to say about her. “Tina Hope is every director’s dream! She is always willing to help out on the unit. She works her scheduled time & picks up shifts to cover the unit. She assists with the growth and development of new nurses, serving as their preceptor. Tina goes the extra mile to make sure patients are cared for and have the resources they need. She is a positive role model on our unit.”
