📢 Exciting news!

Deborah Davis, W. David Lohr, Jennifer Le, Bethany Wattles, and Dan Arnold — all Department of Pediatrics faculty — along with Marie Trace, have published a new article titled “Rational Use of Psychotropic Medications in Youth.”

The article takes a holistic look at youth mental health care and explores the concept of “deprescribing”, a systematic method for assessing the necessity and risks associated with the continued use of medication

We’re proud to share that earlier this week Dr. Kris Bryant received the inaugural CORE (Champion of Opportunity, Representation, and Excellence) Award from the Pediatric Infectious Diseases Society at the PIDS Foundation Annual Dinner!

This award recognizes individuals who have made lasting contributions to access, and health equity within the field.

As former PIDS President, Dr. Bryant helped establish the society’s first CORE Committee, ensuring these values are woven into all aspects of PIDS’ work. Congratulations, Dr. Bryant!
