Researchers from Drexel University’s A.J. Drexel Autism Institute examined how many autistic people in the United States received housing support from the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to explore their experiences and health outcomes.

This is a national organization with a strong presence in Washington, and representatives in most states.
They are working on creating advocacy action specifically aimed at addressing our Housing and living options.

Thanks to Rep.Chris Smith from New Jersey for this attention to our community on the House floor. A shoutout for the Profound Autism Alliance, which I am proud to be a part.
Autism CARES did pass the House but didn’t get voted on before the Senate’s session ended. It was funded for a bit longer and will be back on the Senate agenda 🤞🏻 after the Nov 5 election.
During that “lame duck” session of Congress we MUST make sure our Senators DO NOT FORGET US and the necessity of Autism CARES.

Please continue to email or call your state’s Senators and ask them to vote to CONTINUE the Autism CARES act.
