Sitting here in my house, windows open, no noise other than the gentle pitter-patter of the rain falling on the ground and the occasional breeze blowing through the window, a stock pot of bone broth simmering on the stove. Truly enjoying the moment of quiet and solitude; a time to slow down and rest.
The change of seasons has the ability to usher in times of reflection and change. Each season bringing its own message.
I always love Autumn, not only for its glorious colors, cooler days, and lower humidity but also for its gentle reminders to us.
Reminders to let our colors shine. Reminders to let go of the things which no longer serve us. Reminders to spend time deepening our roots. Reminders that if in this Divine plan of Mother Earth and Nature has a pause built in each year...so too, can we as humans.
So I invite each of us to take time. Let our colors shine, do some reflection of the last year (or even month, decade, up to you) and see what we want to let go of, hold onto, and how can we strengthen our proverbial root system for an even stronger future.
Enjoy each day you are given, none of them is a guarantee.
