National Women Physicians Day is celebrated annually on February 3rd, honoring female doctors' achievements and celebrating progress in medicine. We would like to take a moment to celebrate Dr. Perez. She has been a wonderful addition to our practice. After completing her ophthalmology and retina fellowships in Cuba, she pursued her career in the United States in 2013, where she went on to complete multiple fellowships at Bascom Palmer and the University of Florida. Dr. Perez brings a unique and thoughtful approach to patient care that has been warmly received by both our staff and patients. It is truly an honor to have the only Cuban retina specialist in the state on our team, and she works tirelessly to ensure that every patient—regardless of background—is seen, heard, and treated with respect. A dedicated problem solver, Dr. Perez is exceptionally thorough in her work. We are grateful to have her as part of the River City Retina Consultants team. Thank you for all that you do, Dr. Perez.
