ALL CLEAR: Following a thorough search and investigation after a reported bomb threat at Norton Audubon Hospital, nothing was found and everyone is safe. LMPD and Homeland Security have given the all clear.
Thank you to our caregivers who followed our safety procedures to continue patient care during this situation. We are also grateful to our security team, LMPD and Homeland Security for their swift response. Norton Audubon Hospital remains open and available to serve the needs of the community.

Congratulations to our BEE Award winner, Leslie Henon! 🐝💛
When a patient was distressed about his discharge and unsure where he would stay, Leslie stepped in helping to make every call, answering every question, and ensuring he truly felt heard.
She went above and beyond by personally guiding him to his temporary hotel so he arrived safely.

Last week, Norton Heart & Vascular Institute performed its first Barostim™ procedure — an innovative, FDA-approved implantable therapy for select patients with heart failure.
Barostim™ helps improve cardiovascular regulation by stimulating the body’s natural baroreceptors, which can reduce the heart’s workload and help ease symptoms like fatigue and shortness of breath. This new option expands hope for patients whose symptoms persist despite optimal treatment.

Heart Month recognition! ❤️ We want to give a huge shout out to our HEART HEROS at the Norton Heart & Vascular Institute - Audubon and the Norton Heart & Vascular Institute - Structural Heart teams for delivering not only excellent clinical care, but outstanding patient experiences. 👏

Norton Audubon Hospital is home to one of the largest and most comprehensive heart care programs in the Louisville region, having performed the world’s second artificial heart transplant in 1984 and, since that time, been recognized by the American College of Cardiology as a national leader in advances in chest pain and heart attack treatment. It also holds the region’s highest accreditation as a Chest Pain Center.
In 2016, Norton Audubon Hospital began a three-year construction and renovation project. When completed, the hospital will have 74 additional patient rooms. The project, with a total investment of more than $107 million, is expected to wrap up in 2019.
