*Kareo Update* A new streamlined Charge Capture experience is replacing Superbills and we wanted to make sure you had all the exciting news ahead of time. This new workflow accelerates the pace of claim submissions increasing efficiencies and speed to revenue.
Charge Capture Highlights
The Charge Capture page replaces the Superbill pop-up window. If the patient is a self-pay patient, review Self-Pay Charge Capture from Clinical Note to learn how users with the appropriate permissions can apply patient payments and approve the charge.
Note: ICD-9 diagnosis codes are no longer available for selection or dual coding when creating a new charge.
1. Patient insurance case information, including primary and secondary insurance, is easily visible to the provider.
2. SALT (Same As Last Time) feature will also copy the referring provider as well as the diagnosis and services provided information.
3. Supports submitting charges of services provided during a date range.
4. Identify providers faster, including the referring provider, by their first or last name.
5. Procedure charge amounts are now only visible to specific user roles.
6. The current Superbill statuses have been updated with clearer and easier to understand names. Use the updated statuses to track the progression of charges and review all charges created from a clinical note on the new Charges Dashboard.
7. Print an itemized charge receipt with all the information that may be required for your patients to submit their visit details to Out of Network Insurances, HSA or FSA.
