Assumed your body β€œshould” be able to do certain distances because they are typically easy for you?

But then your pain came back so you panicked that your injury was not healed or something was wrong with your body? 😬

Take a deep breath.

Your body is amazing! It is literally just telling you to slow the F down.

There is no β€œshould” in returning to run-you either can handle the stress or you cannot.

Take the attachment to distance or pace out of it and start rebuilding the right way.

I see TONS of running related injuries and these are the common threads amongst them.

You MUST have a solid physical base to layer your mileage, speed, and races on top of.

No amount of stretching, massage gunning, or foam rolling will help you build that.

It takes time, consistency, and smart programming.

I’ll pop a self strength screen in my stories to help you determine where your strength base is starting at, but if you need help progressing your running without getting injured shoot me a DM πŸ€œπŸ€›
