Today, on Good Friday, we pause and remember the greatest act of love the world has ever known. Jesus willingly gave His life. Not because we deserved it, but because His love is endless, unconditional, and full of grace. How blessed are we?

In my own life, I see His blessings so clearly in Violet. She is a beautiful reminder of God’s perfect love and purpose. With her extra chromosome comes an extra measure of joy, light, and love. Proof that God’s creations are INTENTIONAL and wonderfully made. She is not just a blessing; she is a living testimony of His grace.

Violet and I spend so much time traveling in the car together. Each week she has three appointments. Sometimes even more and during those drives we listen, laugh, and jam out to our favorite songs. Today, as a song was playing (Goodness of God), I happened to glance back and saw my precious girl singing and moving her hands to the beat. In that moment, the lyrics hit me in a whole new way. I felt overwhelmed with gratitude for the goodness of God.

I often carry guilt for the times I questioned His plans. For the moments I asked, “Why my child? Why me?” or prayed for different circumstances. But today was such a powerful reminder that God is SO good, and He knows exactly what He’s doing.

I am beyond grateful and blessed that He chose my child to be “different,” to stand out, to shine in her own beautiful way. She is extra extraordinary.
