Folks Ive sworn off Facebook but Ive got patients out there waiting and I am genuine sorry.

Im not going to be practicing in this state in anything like the near future. I just want to tell you. That doesnt mean Im not ever practicing again by any stretch. It means I will not admit to something I didnt do and I wont give an inch my Daddy wouldnt.

Im happy to log on from time to time to take messages. I was fortunate enough for the opportunity to train a whole cadre of surgeons that are smarter than me. They also, to a man, were taught my particular style. I wont recommend a single person I wouldnt send my Momma to.

I appreciate all the love and messages and prayers. I will continue to do so. Rome wasnt built in a day, nor was it lost.

Im going to put this out there for free use.

"I never want to talk anybody into anything. My job is to arrive at a correct diagnosis and understand the mechanics that are driving that diagnosis. That’s the hard part. When you get that part right, everything else falls into place nicely."

Ill get back here. I dont know the timetable.

OK. Been waiting on an answer. The Kentucky Board of Medical Licensure decided...to dodge. I can tell you I did not see that coming. I will not say anything more except Douglases have always been problematic when left without justice.

This last two full years have been rather long. I've learned a lot, and I can tell you that learning (to this extent) into your 40's is not heartwarming. I know who stands where, and I know where the battles lie that are for fighting. The implication there is that, as a result, one then knows what to let sit.

Shudder at the thought.

It has nothing to do with the New Year, but it is a new time. I understand why I am here, at this particular place and right at this moment. Much like that Eagles song, I have a peaceful, easy feeling going forward, even though I wade into a fight that few could or would wage. Its not by my hand. God pulled my chain and hard. I am thankful beyond being able to say in simple terms. I have a mission. I do it for the sake of those who could not fight this battle for themselves. I do it for the sake of truth and what is right and just. I do it with Gods strength alone, and Im telling you I did not have the strength without Him to get anywhere close to here.

I dont know how things are going to go specifically, but I have no doubt at all that its going to be just fine.

God speaks to us through repeated, unbelievable coincidences. That is his medium.

Kinda bothers me that Google wont migrate reviews when you change your business location?!? Not like its a whole new business right? No, its not and its plainly demonstrable that its *the same bloody enterprise*. Anyone have any experience on how to make the information monolith recognize what you just did down the street?

Been a while since an update. Here is where it sits:

We are in-network for every major insurer except for Anthem and Passport (weird right?)

Anthem and Passport enrollment should be in effect by 1/1/23. Better be. Too many folks on these plans with needs. Nonetheless, its almost a blip. Just a little longer.

We are in a new spot! Working into a new practice location. Happy to be partnering with Kentucky Pain Associates to prevent an interruption in service (they are letting us use their office space with our own staff) while we build out a dedicated space in the same building. Regardless of the suite #, 222 S 1st St in downtown Louisville is our permanent home. Why downtown? Folks come from all over our region. Downtown is the epicenter of the highway system. Way better for some, maybe less so for others.

If you want it done right, go where the pros go. Even when its downtown. This is where we started.

Ok so had to change locations. New location is on the map. 222 South 1st Street, in KPA's offices (for now, but the building itself...well you will see.) There is a need in this market for a comprehensive intradisciplinary center. I have partnered with Kentucky Pain Associates to build it...again. Making this happen requires a team. Im pretty excited about how partnering with KPA makes a true Institute possible. We have big plans for Louisville, but thats always been the case since I came back to town. Here we go.

Welp, had to change locations. More to follow. Number has not changed 502-424-8033. Had to mix it up to continue providing better care than you will find otherwise. Maintaining standards can be a bear, but it has to be done.
