Book: The Out of Sync Child by Carol Stock Kranowitz

This is a flexible book club - you do not have to read the entire book to attend!

⭐Listen instead: Use your local library’s free audiobook options such as Libby or Hoopla—perfect for the car, walks, or while doing chores.
⭐Speed listening: Audiobooks can be played at 1.25–2.0x speed for quicker listening while still capturing the main ideas.
⭐Podcast support: Explore book-focused podcast episodes, including author interviews or discussions that highlight key takeaways from the book.
⭐Watch & learn: TED Talks or other short talks related to the book’s themes can be a great alternative way to engage with the concepts.
⭐Read selectively: Identify chapters that feel most relevant to you and focus on those.
⭐Skim the highlights: Review an online book summary to understand the main ideas and discussion points.
⭐Read the whole book: Of course, you’re always welcome to read the entire physical or digital book if that works best for you.

🧠 EXECUTIVE FUNCTIONING PARENT GROUP

Join Ms. Amber, OTR/L and Ms. Katie, OTR/L as we will be discussing executive functioning skills, such as impulse control, attention, task initiation, and flexibility and strategies to help develop and compensate for these skills throughout childhood. We will also be discussing how ADHD impacts executive functioning skills. Participants will have time for Q & A and receive handouts in order to carry over these skills at home.
