It is with great sadness that we share the passing of one of our beloved therapists, Claresha Dishman.
Claresha joined Morning Star Counseling full of light, compassion, and a genuine desire to serve her community. She was deeply dedicated to her clients and brought warmth and joy into every space she entered. Her commitment to mental health was evident in the care she provided, and she was especially passionate about supporting individuals struggling with substance abuse. Claresha dreamed of one day opening her own sober living home to continue making a difference in the lives of those in recovery.
Beyond her professional impact, Claresha was a devoted mother. I had the pleasure of meeting her son on a few occasions and witnessed firsthand the love and guidance she poured into raising a well-rounded young man.
Claresha’s presence, compassion, and dedication will truly be missed. We ask that you keep her family — especially her son — in your thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time.

We’re thrilled to announce the newest members of our Morning Star team! Please join us in welcoming Kori and Tiana, who have been with us through their internships over the past year and decided to continue their journey with us as therapists. It’s such a wonderful feeling to see our interns grow and choose to stay — we must be doing something right! 💛
We’re also excited to welcome Kelli, our new Case Manager! Kelli brings a wealth of experience as a social worker in the community and has extensive knowledge of local resources to support our clients and their families.

I’ve officially taken a leap and accepted a full-time job! 🎉✨
So what does this mean for Morning Star?
Honestly… not much is changing!
While I’ll no longer be seeing clients personally (yes, I already miss them! 💛), Morning Star is still going strong. Our team of highly trained, compassionate, and skilled clinicians are here, continuing the mission and doing incredible work every day.
They show up. They listen. They hold space. They care. 🧠💬💫
And they’re ready to support YOU and OUR community.
So although I’ve stepped back from the therapy chair, I’m still fully behind the vision. Morning Star isn’t going anywhere. 🌟
